James McAra, CFA, CPA, CA, CBV, is the Vice President & Managing Director, Residential Capital Markets at CMLS. Based in Vancouver, James is a strategic finance leader with over a decade of corporate financial management experience.

Prior to stepping into capital markets leadership, he held key executive roles at CMLS, most recently as VP of Finance, where he focused on financial strategy, capital allocation and transforming the finance function. James holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction from the University of Victoria and earned top academic honours from the Peter B. Gustavson School of Business.
